RYC Honoring Buckie Leach Features Artwork By Dan Kellner

The Regional Youth Circuit event organized by the PISTE Fencing Academy on April 29th and 30th was a heartfelt tribute to the late Anthony 'Buckie' Leach. Buckie held a special place in the hearts of many, including Nzingha Prescod, who considered him not only her personal coach but also a close friend. Coach Dan Kellner and others at BBFC also cherished their bond with Buckie.

To honor Buckie's memory, Coach Dan design the logo for the event, drawing inspiration from a tattoo he had created specifically for Buckie. The logo pays homage to Picasso's renowned 1955 artwork, Don Quixote. In this artistic rendition, Don Quixote is depicted riding a motorcycle, symbolizing Buckie's lifelong passion for bikes, riding, and the freedom of the open road.

Tragically, Buckie's life was cut short on August 14, 2021, when he met with an accident while traveling from Colorado Springs to New York City. He was 62 years old at the time of his passing, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those who knew him.
