A typical day at Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Camp

Don’t worry! Even though our camps are full day, we don’t fence all day. We take plenty of breaks, drink plenty of water, and play plenty of games. We play all different types of tag, races, human sized tic-tac-toe, ring toss, jump rope, team handball, as well as various fencing related games involving tennis balls and rings.

The day schedule includes a warm-up game, stretching, agility and coordination games, footwork, blade skills, and open bouting, all broken up with plenty of breaks and water..

After that, it’s lunch! We play a lot of games, and then we repeat a variation of the morning session. We also encourage children to bring their own board games, card games, books, or personal entertainment for lunchtime, and we usually have a Nintendo Switch hooked up to the TV then as well. It’s a lot of fun!

We hope you’ll join us for the best Brooklyn fencing camps in NYC!
